SILVAN – (Hedysarum coronarum L.)

Use and productivity:
This is almost never seen like a renewal plant, in fact it doesn't need very thorough work, indeed it's often used on
land that is not worked in reliance on the power of its taproot root. Prefers rich and deep soils calcareous clay.
For a successful installation is needed a using specific bacteria in the soil or spreading the soil that already has them inside.
Inside the area where the tests were performed, in the average of three years, Silvan variety has produced green fodder
for 470 q/ha, while the total production of dry matter, in the average of the three years was of 82 q/ha.
Good seed production too, 4.3 q/ha.
